CMAP Board Strategic Report.  The CMAP Board's strategic report on vision, governance, and funding was submitted to Governor Blagojevich and the General Assembly on September 1, 2006.  Click here to download the full report (500KB PDF) or the executive summary (100KB PDF).  Also see the CMAP press release. During the public comment period that ended August 28, the CMAP leadership met with partner organizations and other stakeholders to get feedback on the document.  The CMAP Board and staff wish to thank everyone who contributed to the report, which was truly a regional effort. 

 

Blankenhorn talk on the need of Illinois for a capital plan.  On September 20, 2006, CMAP executive director Randy Blankenhorn gave the keynote address at the Transportation for Illinois Coalition's annual meeting.  See the Talks and Testimony folder for a PDF.

 

Blankenhorn testimony on public/private partnerships to manage tollways.  On June 13, 2006, RPB executive director spoke before the Illinois Senate Appropriations II Committee.  See the Talks and Testimony folder for a PDF.

RPB Executive Director Position Announcement:  The board conducted a search to hire its first executive director to manage the integration of CATS and NIPC into a single planning agency. See the position announcement.  Applications were due by January 31, 2006, and subsequently the board hired Randy Blankenhorn to fill the post.  (See his biosketch and a press release.)

 

RPB Action Plan:  The RPB held a retreat on December 2 and 14, 2005 to plan the board's activities during its first year.  That RPB Action plan is available here (115 KB, PDF file).

 

CATS and NIPC Documents:

CATS and NIPC Regional Plans.  The current regional plans for CATS and NIPC, respectively, are the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan and the 2040 Regional Framework Plan. 

 

CATS-NIPC Joint Coordinating Committee Report.  In June 2005, the CATS-NIPC Joint Coordinating Committee report was issued, providing important inputs to HB 3121, the legislation that later created the RPB.
